Edward Sharpe's & the Magnetic Zone's song "40 Day Dream" runs repeatedly trough my head as I look at these lovely photos. Photographer Sully Sullivan's (amazing name!) "Back into the Wild" series is a folky mix of whimsy, fun, and good ol' American fun.

BloomFest 2012: Part II
BloomFest 2012: Part I

I went to the BloomFest Festival this past Saturday, and oh my goodness...so much amazing-ness packed into one festival! BloomFest is an Art Festival that takes place in the LA's Art District. Sure sure, it was hipster-mania there but it was soo much fun! The organization i'm interning for, Freedom & Fashion, was tabling at the event so I had to work the tables. It was fun interacting with such unique individuals.

Photo Shoot: Bringing it back to the 90's
I had an amazing opportunity to assist in a photo shoot for the urban clothing line The Hundreds. The head hancho stylist was the very stylish Kelly Love. It was a day chopped full of adventure, 'Blood, Sweat & Tears' (ok...no blood...and maybe only tears of sweat), gorilla style shooting ;), and exploring the greatness that is L.A. The theme of the shoot was based on looks from the 90's. The Looks were inspired by the movie Clueless (Cher get in here!), Poetic Justice, and Janet Jackson's video "Rhythm Nation".
Kelly Love & her goods.
Clueless inspired. I loved how there were kids swimming in the water fountain even when there was a huuuuge sign saying "NO SWIMMING"...classic.

Janet Jackson! Miss Jackson if you're nasty. Kelly paid hommage to Janet's "Rhtyhm Nation" video by decking Aurielle in chains and leather. This is one of my favorite looks. And just look at the back of the jacket! *swoon*

Fragmented Diary
Minimalistic art with lines and texture always seem to fascinate me. That's why I love Mario Kolaric's" Fragment" sketches from his diary; simplistic & beautiful. These would look stunning grouped together on a living room wall or in a studio space.
